Professional indemnity insurance protects you against a claim or allegation of a negligent act error or omission which results in the claimant suffering a financial loss.

The Professional Indemnity policy pays any damages awarded against you and also pays the legal defence costs. In most cases, your insurer will negotiate a settlement with the other side before allowing the case to go to court.

We can also negotiate to include the following:

• Breach of Copyright - covers claims made against you for infringement of copyright/patent
• Libel & slander - covers claims made against you for unintentional libel or slander
• Retroactive cover. Professional indemnity policies cover claims made against you while the policy is in force. However when you take a policy out for the first time the Insurer will usually exclude claims arising out of work done before the policy is taken out. We can negotiate to re-include this past cover
